Turkmenistan to Join Regional Project of the Asian Development Bank
At the regular meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers of Turkmenistan held via the digital system on July 4, Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers H. Geldimyradov reported on a proposal from the Asian Development Bank regarding Turkmenistan’s participation in a regional project for the implementation of Phase II of the Integrated Trade Program until 2030 under the Central Asia Regional Economic Cooperation (CAREC) Program. The main objectives of the project include enhancing regional trade, digitalization, and the development of environmentally sustainable measures.
As part of this initiative, participation is also proposed in Subproject 1 “Trade Policy” and Subproject 2 “Trade Facilitation.”
In this regard, a relevant proposal was submitted for consideration by the Head of State.
After hearing the report, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov noted that Turkmenistan maintains productive relations with foreign countries as well as with international and regional financial and economic organizations and institutions. Approving the Asian Development Bank's proposal for Turkmenistan’s participation in the respective CAREC Program project, the Head of State instructed the Deputy Prime Minister to carry out the necessary work in this direction.
